MEMORIES MADE IN 2025-2026
ME & MY GUITARE (a composed song on the DAYS of the WEEK:
I composed an easy song to work / revise and practise pronunciation for all the days of the week. The younger students had a simpler version, the older ones a more detailed version. The children were elated whenever i 'd bring my guitar to school.

ENGLISH HIGH TEA / OUR ENGLISH TEA TIME
Our traditionnal english tea time fun, with a revisit to historical and cultural facts for each item we taste. this year we tasted:
- cucumber sandwiches: a classic tea-time finger sandwich made with thin cucumber slices and a herbed cream cheese spread
- Cheese & onion sandwich: Another classic sandwich with tangy onion relish and cheddar...the brits love this one!
- mini chocolate muffins: a popular treat enjoyed at breakfast or as a snack. often characterized by their moist texture and rich chocolate flavor.
- Millionaire's shortbread: a layer of scottish shortbread, a layer of fudge, and a layer of chocolate - The name refers to how luxurious it is. It's generally considered to have originated in Scotland.
- a cup of rooibos tea with a dash of lemon (a south african herbal tea suitable for all ages) - rooibos in afrikaans means "red bush"
TASTE & DESCRIBE
(beef jerky, UK Tyrells chips, and my childhood sweets: Skittles). Learn and practice "i like / i don't like", "spicy", "crunchy" etc...
SHOPPING FOR GROCERIES
A fun way to practice vocabulary around fruits, vegetables, meat, bread, eggs, milk, ready-made meals etc... It's a fun way to practice / learn greetings, or asking for something "i would like / would you like? How much is it?". Each student gets a wallet to "pay" for their groceries.
*** I adapt this role play to each english level / class i have.
COMBINATION GAMES
we branched out and around the theme of animals:
*games of cards & mime,
*find & describe (stuffed animals: their colour, characteristics / attributes),
*mask games & flash memory,
*"i spy with my little eye",
*where in the class? (on top of / behind / in front / under etc...,
*animal pairings (ex. sheep + white fleece + wool , or, rabbit + grey fur + carrot) and lots more!
a great way to combine several "other" vocabulary categories around one central - main theme.
NEW VOCABULARY
Boardgames, flash cards, card games, flag games, listen & tap, speedy-vocabulary, etc... all directed at learning new words in a fun way :-)
A MIX OF SOME OF OUR OTHER GAMES:
*Simon say,
*Bingo,
*Various Cards Games,
*Number tracing,
*Twister,
*Mix & match
*Number-colour-fish
*Search & find
Games for pronunciation: a fun way to rehearse and consolidate the academic program of our school
SHOW & TELL
Learn to recognise, present, say a few words, describe the object / texture / colour / use etc...
This definitely goes hand in hand with the construction of sentences, and being more at ease with speaking in english.
